Hopefully we have pictures.

The picture on the left is her today. The picture on right is the first time we saw her with the orphanage staff. Picture below is the hotel.

Just a quick note as I am at Lee and Les' again and their baby is tired. We are not having luck at the business ctr. Ella is just starting to warm up to us and has given us a couple smiles today. Mostly she still is glued to us. She screams when we put her on the floor so we are not sure what she can do developmentally. However, she loves her rattle and will not let is out of her hands. She said mamamama lastnight. I got to finally read the posts, I am glad people are reading the blog. Liam is doing really great on this trip however, he really has no interest in Ella at all. Liam and Ella are sleeping great, now Bill and I need to.
Tomorrow is the trip to the orphanage. They are really discouraging us from bringing the babies but a couple of us are.
I hope you can finally see Ella as the pictures should work (cross my fingers).
I will try and post again tomorrow.

She's so tiny, but BEAUTIFUL! And you HAD to show off that great mop of hair by putting a clip in it didn't you? I might be able to put a clip in Laura's hair by the time she starts school at this rate.

You guys look so tired. So who's discouraging you from taking the babies on the orphanage visit? We were neither encouraged nor discouraged, but I thought that the conventional wisdom was that it brings closure for them by showing them that everyone and everything is OK back there. None of the babies showed any ill effects returning to Guiping, however some Beihai families regretted visiting with the older babies (like 13 months+) because the babies grieved intensely upon seeing their nannies again. Some people have said that despite the grief it's still an important process, specifically for the baby to see the nanny handing the baby over to her new parents and giving the message that this is a good thing. Regardless, it's a personal decision and you do what you think is best for Ella.

Keep the pictures coming!
