In Beijing

We are here safe and sound. The plane ride was uneventful which is good. We kept Liam up late lastnight hoping that he would sleep on the plane, ha. He slept one hour only. We flew here with 3 other couples--Ian and Alice, Anna and Chak, and Steve and his mother Maria. Liam walked in the hotel and wanted to go swimming right away. Unfortunately, there is some type of construction outside so they would not let us in. It is 2AM Ontario time and Liam is not even starting to fad and he has been up since 5:30AM.
I hope to find out how to post pictures but right now no one is around.
Our guide said she spoke to the orphanages and the girls are all in good health.
We leave for Guangdong at noon tomorrow.

Well thank god for the uneventful plane ride - so glad you guys have arrived safely. Keep the posts coming - we'll be checking faithfully every day! Deanne and I were e-mailing back and forth last night and I filled her in and sent her the link to your blog.

Your days as a three person family are coming to an end. Hopefully Ella will cut you some slack and sleep nicely in China like Laura did (who at the moment is fighting her nap and persistently tossing all of her toys out of her crib).

Looking forward to hearing from you tomorrow!

Hi Margo, Bill, Liam and Ella,

Ella is absolutely beautiful! Great blogs. Sounds like you are having quite the adventure. I will pack up Liam's stuff so he will have it in China! We had a baby boy on Aug 2nd. His name is Kiran and he weighed in at a 22lbs 110z, 22.5 inches long. Mom and Kiran are doing well. Dad is surviving trying to manage the twins routine. Actually they are really good. Last night was a hard one as they were asking for mom. We can't wait to meet Ella! Congratulations!
